Hello, readers! Today, I’d like to share an inspiring story about the 2nd World Invitational Revelation Seminar, held in Cheongju, South Korea. This unique event was not merely a gathering of religious leaders but a meaningful initiative aimed at fostering dialogue and peace among faiths through scripture exchange. Over 1,000 religious leaders from 57 countries voluntarily traveled to South Korea to participate in this two-day seminar, where they engaged in profound discussions and shared a unified vision for peace.
A Platform for Interfaith Harmony
The seminar was founded on the principle of promoting understanding through scripture-based exchanges, aiming to eliminate disputes and contribute to a more peaceful global community. Chairman Lee Man-hee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus emphasized, “Heaven and God are one. To achieve unity, we must engage in dialogue and mutual understanding.”Notably, this year’s seminar was ten times larger than the inaugural event held in February, which saw the participation of 80 religious leaders from 27 countries. This expansion underscores Shincheonji Church’s growing global influence and the increasing interest in the teachings of Revelation.
Learning and Awakening Through Scripture
The two-day program offered more than just lectures. Participants learned about Shincheonji Church and the fulfillment of the Book of Revelation while also witnessing speeches by representatives from various faiths. For instance, Buddhist leader Venerable Hyeonsan delivered a speech on Revelation 1:1–8, expressing, “Revelation is profound because it opens a new perspective on the world, allowing us to envision a better future.” Similarly, Hindu leader Swami Shaileshananda Giri spoke on Revelation 4, emphasizing, “I study at a peace center to deepen my understanding of diverse religions and strive for harmony and enlightenment.”
A Unified Prayer for Peace
On the final day, leaders from Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam joined in a collective prayer for global peace, transcending their religious differences. This act symbolized their shared commitment to harmony and mutual respect.Chairman Lee urged the participants to embrace dialogue, stating, “The doors of Shincheonji Church are open for anyone willing to engage in scripture comparison. Let’s work together to achieve unity.”
A Documentary on Peace in Action
As part of the program, attendees watched "The Great Legacy: Mindanao," a documentary highlighting how the 40-year conflict on Mindanao Island in the Philippines was resolved through dialogue and collaboration. This inspiring story reinforced the potential for religious cooperation to foster peace.Looking Ahead: Anticipating the 3rd Seminar
The seminar concluded with heartfelt reflections from participants. An Indian pastor shared, “Though I’ve read Revelation many times, it wasn’t until now that I truly understood its meaning. I am grateful for this enlightenment and feel called to teach my congregation and others about the fulfillment of Revelation.”Pastor Koroi from Fiji echoed this sentiment, stating, “This seminar helped me confirm the truth of Revelation’s fulfillment. I will carry these teachings back to my country and share them with my community.”
Many expressed a desire to bring fellow leaders to future seminars, predicting that this program would grow into a prominent international event.
The 2nd World Invitational Revelation Seminar successfully broke down religious barriers, paving the way for interfaith harmony and peace. The passion and dedication of these religious leaders have sparked hope for a world where understanding and unity prevail. As we look forward to the 3rd seminar, one can only imagine the profound insights and transformative impact it will bring.
