Shincheonji Online Seminar Review Series – Episode 2

A New Look at the Bible – Lesson 2: The Basics of the Bible

As a long-time member of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, I’ve studied the Bible for years, but watching the uploaded video of Lesson 2: The Basics of the Bible from the Shincheonji Online Seminar gave me a renewed and deeper understanding of God’s Word.

This lesson carefully walks through 8 key points that explain what the Bible is, why it should be understood through the lens of prophecy and fulfillment, and how its ultimate purpose is to lead us to salvation and eternal life.

What stood out most to me was the perspective that the Bible is a record of spiritual warfare—a 6,000-year battle between God and Satan. It challenged me to reflect on which side I truly stand with, and reminded me of the importance of fighting with the word of testimony, as someone belonging to God.

Even if you're new to Shincheonji's teachings, this seminar is very approachable. For those who’ve read the Bible for years, I think this lesson offers a fresh perspective you may have never considered before.

The full video is already uploaded and available to watch anytime, so I highly recommend it to anyone who sincerely wants to understand the Bible more deeply.

Why does Scripture repeatedly return to scenes of fishermen casting nets into the sea? Why do major prophetic events unfold on ships, rivers, or vast waters? Lesson 11 of the Shincheonji Online Bible Seminar takes a closer look at these familiar images and invites viewers to read them not as simple stories, but as carefully layered symbols that describe the spiritual condition of the world and humanity’s place within it. The seminar begins by exploring the figurative meaning of the sea. While the physical sea is a place where many waters gather, its water cannot sustain life. In the same way, the Bible describes a spiritual sea—a world filled with countless voices, teachings, and doctrines.
