Hello, I'm greenteawannabe.
From July 11th to 13th, respectively, from 1:00 to 3:00, and the Gwangju branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Corps held a water sharing campaign at Usan Geullin park to prevent heat diseases among Gwangju citizens in their 60s and older. This service was conducted near Usan Geullin park in Gwangju.
This place is frequently visited by seniors in their 60s and older because there is Malbau Market nearby and a bus stop in front of the park.
The elderly are having a hard time with the temperature rising close to 40 degrees these days.
Accordingly, the Gwangju branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Corps gave 600 bottles of cool ice bottled water to the elderly and Malbau Market merchants to prevent heat diseases.
What this service is particularly notable about is that it has a cyclical structure.
All expenses spent on the service were paid from profits from the old clothes collection campaign among the services previously conducted by the Gwangju branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Corps during the carbon neutral campaign.
It can be seen as a virtuous cycle of service because the profit from service has been returned to service.
In the future, we are looking forward to the active activities of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group's Gwangju branch in preventing heat waves and possible social problems in summer.
That's all for the post. Thank you.
