Shincheonji Church of Jesus celebrates 40th anniversary

On March 14th, Shincheonji Church of Jesus celebrated its 40th anniversary with a grand ceremony held at the Shincheonji Peace Training Center in Cheongpyeong. The event saw the attendance of about 30,000 believers on-site, while being live-streamed to followers in 66 countries around the world.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has shown continuous growth since its foundation, once again proved its excellence in maintaining safety and order during this significant event. Based on their experiences from previously hosting three 100,000-attendee graduation ceremonies, meticulous safety management plans laid out. The cooperation and high civic consciousness of the attendees were commendable, following the guidance of the staff

The anniversary service was organized to reflect on the growth journey since its establishment on March 14, 1984, and to glorify God for the blessings received. It included an introduction to the 40th-anniversary event, a commemorative video, a report on Shincheonji's history, followed by a sermon by Chairman Lee Man-hee.

Chairman Lee Man-hee spoke on the humble beginnings of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus and attributed its growth to divine intervention, aligning with prophecies in the Bible. He emphasized the importance of living according to God's will, not with blind faith but understanding and hope in God's promises, highlighting the need for love towards neighbors as oneself

The day also featured celebratory performances by the 12 tribes of Shincheonji, marking the 40th anniversary with cultural and artistic expressions.

Despite the global downturn in Christianity, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has not only continued to grow but has also significantly contributed to the ecumenical movement by engaging in scripture exchange MOUs with 443 domestic churches and 9,462 churches across 77 countries. This global outreach has led to 1,382 churches in 38 countries adopting Shincheonji's teachings, acknowledging the profound understanding of the scriptures promoted by Shincheonji.

From a personal perspective, the 40th-anniversary celebration and the consistent growth of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus signify more than just an increase in numbers. It represents the culmination of relentless effort, faith in God, and the unity of its congregation. The future roles and contributions of Shincheonji Church of Jesus within society and the wider Christian community are something to look forward to with keen interest. This event not only reaffirms Shincheonji's commitment to being a light and salt in society but also sets a milestone for further growth and positive impact.

[Shincheonji Elementary Seminar Lesson 3 Review] Why Are the Secrets of Heaven Hidden in Parables?

Following the previous session, today I’m reviewing Lesson 3 of the Shincheonji Elementary Seminar, titled “The True Meaning of the Parables of the Secrets of Heaven.” Through this lecture, I gained deep insight into why the Bible is difficult to understand, and why Jesus chose to speak in parables. In Mark chapter 4, Jesus said, “The secret of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but to those on the outside everything is said in parables.” The Word is clear, but its meaning is hidden in figurative language, making it inaccessible to just anyone. What left the biggest impression on me was the fact that only when prophecy is fulfilled can the reality of the parable appear. As Jesus promised, at the time of His second coming, He would no longer speak in parables but explain plainly—and realizing that this time is now truly stirred my heart. The instructor explained how various parables in the Bible were actually fulfilled. For example, a stone symbolizes Jesus and the two wives r...

Since the seminar covers essential topics, I will be sharing what I learned in a series of posts. In this first entry, I will discuss the meaning of parables and why they are important. 📖 Why Did Jesus Speak in Parables? Many people wonder, "Why did Jesus speak in parables?" At first, I thought they were simply symbolic stories. But through Shincheonji’s teachings, I realized that parables contain God’s hidden plan, which is meant to be understood at the proper time. 🔹 The Reason for Parables In Matthew 13...
