Shincheonji Church of Jesus celebrates 40th anniversary

On March 14th, Shincheonji Church of Jesus celebrated its 40th anniversary with a grand ceremony held at the Shincheonji Peace Training Center in Cheongpyeong. The event saw the attendance of about 30,000 believers on-site, while being live-streamed to followers in 66 countries around the world.


Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has shown continuous growth since its foundation, once again proved its excellence in maintaining safety and order during this significant event. Based on their experiences from previously hosting three 100,000-attendee graduation ceremonies, meticulous safety management plans laid out. The cooperation and high civic consciousness of the attendees were commendable, following the guidance of the staff 


The anniversary service was organized to reflect on the growth journey since its establishment on March 14, 1984, and to glorify God for the blessings received. It included an introduction to the 40th-anniversary event, a commemorative video, a report on Shincheonji's history, followed by a sermon by Chairman Lee Man-hee.


Chairman Lee Man-hee spoke on the humble beginnings of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus and attributed its growth to divine intervention, aligning with prophecies in the Bible. He emphasized the importance of living according to God's will, not with blind faith but understanding and hope in God's promises, highlighting the need for love towards neighbors as oneself

The day also featured celebratory performances by the 12 tribes of Shincheonji, marking the 40th anniversary with cultural and artistic expressions.


Despite the global downturn in Christianity, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has not only continued to grow but has also significantly contributed to the ecumenical movement by engaging in scripture exchange MOUs with 443 domestic churches and 9,462 churches across 77 countries. This global outreach has led to 1,382 churches in 38 countries adopting Shincheonji's teachings, acknowledging the profound understanding of the scriptures promoted by Shincheonji.



From a personal perspective, the 40th-anniversary celebration and the consistent growth of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus signify more than just an increase in numbers. It represents the culmination of relentless effort, faith in God, and the unity of its congregation. The future roles and contributions of Shincheonji Church of Jesus within society and the wider Christian community are something to look forward to with keen interest. This event not only reaffirms Shincheonji's commitment to being a light and salt in society but also sets a milestone for further growth and positive impact.

Loud cheers from 100,000 graduates, Shincheonji Zion Christian Mission Center

Can you believe that one congregation could produce 100,000 theological graduates just for a year? We can see it to be possible through a 100,000 graduation ceremony from Shincheonji Church of Jesus. A 100,000 graduation of Shincheonji was held on November, 12th in Daegu, a city in South Korea. The number of graduates is 108,084, which is a tremendous number just in a year at one denomination. Encore lecture following the Shincheonji Bible Seminars that make pastors one in the Revelation, Bible

It was great that Shincheonji Bible seminars were held throughout South Korea last month. And it was finished with the encore lecture held on November 4th. Almost all of the attendees pastors applied to the theological education that Shincheonji church supplies. Shincheonji Bible Seminars were held in October, starting from in Seoul. (Seminar in Seoul , Dajeon , Daegu , Busan , Gwangju ) After that, the requests from pastors continued. That's why Shincheonji church got to hold the encore lecture in Seoul. All attendees are 12,000 people including 1650 pastors over the seminars. Lee Man Hee, Chairman of Shincheonji Church, clearly preached the entire chapters of the book of Revelation. The issue of forced conversion and its severe consequences continue to draw attention. The 6th anniversary of the death of the late Ji-in Gu has recently this matter back into focus. she tragically lost her life at the young age of 27, falling into a brain-dead state due to assault by her family.
