[Shincheonji Elementary Seminar Lesson 3 Review] Why Are the Secrets of Heaven Hidden in Parables?

Following the previous session, today I’m reviewing Lesson 3 of the Shincheonji Elementary Seminar, titled “The True Meaning of the Parables of the Secrets of Heaven.” Through this lecture, I gained deep insight into why the Bible is difficult to understand, and why Jesus chose to speak in parables.

In Mark chapter 4, Jesus said, “The secret of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but to those on the outside everything is said in parables.” The Word is clear, but its meaning is hidden in figurative language, making it inaccessible to just anyone.

What left the biggest impression on me was the fact that only when prophecy is fulfilled can the reality of the parable appear. As Jesus promised, at the time of His second coming, He would no longer speak in parables but explain plainly—and realizing that this time is now truly stirred my heart.

The instructor explained how various parables in the Bible were actually fulfilled. For example, a stone symbolizes Jesus and the two wives represent two covenants. Knowing the true meanings of these parables makes the Bible feel completely new.

Ultimately, the key message of today’s lecture was that the secrets of heaven are fulfilled and revealed in reality at the appointed time, and that they are testified through the messenger of Jesus. Those who understand the parables are led to heaven and salvation, while those who don’t remain outsiders—this reminded me again how important the Word is.

At the end of the video, the instructor said, “Now is the time when the one who testifies to the reality of the parables has appeared, and we must listen and believe.” It was truly a graceful and eye-opening time.

The Figurative Sea, Fishermen, Net, Fish, and Ship — Reading the World Through Biblical Symbols

Lesson 11 of the Shincheonji Online Bible Seminar Many readers of the Bible have paused at passages describing seas, fishing nets, ships, and fish, sensing that these images mean more than they first appear. Why does Scripture repeatedly return to scenes of fishermen casting nets into the sea? Why do major prophetic events unfold on ships, rivers, or vast waters? Lesson 11 of the Shincheonji Online Bible Seminar takes a closer look at these familiar images and invites viewers to read them not as simple stories, but as carefully layered symbols that describe the spiritual condition of the world and humanity’s place within it. The seminar begins by exploring the figurative meaning of the sea. While the physical sea is a place where many waters gather, its water cannot sustain life. In the same way, the Bible describes a spiritual sea—a world filled with countless voices, teachings, and doctrines. Drawing from passages such as Daniel 7 and Revelation 17, the lecturer explains that the sea...
